about Tom Parratt

Tom is a qualified drum teacher. He has devised & delivered courses on Music Performance and Drumkit in Further Education, led drumming workshops for young people and taught drumming in schools.

Having played drums since 1985 encompassing an extensive range of musical styles and situations, Tom is currently touring with the Rockman Music theatre productions of Vampires Rock and The Meat Loaf Story.

Despite his busy schedule, Tom's commitment to sharing his skills and knowledge has inspired him to open his own dedicated drum teaching premises, the Tom Parratt Drum Studio in Nottingham, where he holds regular one-to-one drumkit lessons.

His professional experience includes studio recordings, performances for television and video, and over 1500 live concerts throughout the UK, Eire, Europe and Dubai; including Glastonbury Festival, Donington Park, and the London Palladium.

Tom's relevant teaching qualifications include: BTEC National Diploma in Popular Music, Rockshool Drums Grade 8, ABRSM Music Theory Grade 5 and City & Guilds 730 Teaching Certificate parts 1& 2.
