MUSIC WORKSHOPS

Music workshops give you the opportunity to make your own music. We host a variety of events including community, play and educational workshops. The list below give details of current projects and others planned or completed.

Music in Sneinton -current- We aim to provide music workshops and play opportunities for local children and young people under 16 years in a safe and fun environment. Our weekly sessions ran throughout 2007 and continue in 2008 from 6.30 - 8.00pm every Wednesday during school term time at Sneinton Hermitage Community Centre, Sneinton Boulevard. There will be a small charge of £1 per child/young person. Parents are welcome to attend and will be provided with refreshments and magazines etc (but no ear plugs!) Parents/cares must accompany under 8s.

Band Performance Workshops -completed- This was a 20 week course of 2 hour sessions aimed at musicians (18+) with some experience on their instrument but little in a band or ensemble. The participants formed groups and chose songs to learn and practice, with help and guidance from the workshop leader. The course culminated in a live public performance by each group, and was a great success. Email tuition@tomparratt.co.uk if you are interested in taking part in the next course.
